Dig Works is a family of second- and third-generation builders. We dig foundations, fix drainage and clear land for homes in Hartford and Middlesex County.
Building Runs in the Family
We're second- and third-generation builders, with 40 years in general contracting and development.
Our family also builds homes. That's where the digging started: foundations and lots for our own builds. Now we do the same work for homeowners and other builders.
You deal with the owners
One of the owners answers the phone, and one of us comes out to look at the bigger jobs.
We build homes too
Because we build our own homes, we know what the framer and the mason need from the hole.
Our Equipment
We own our excavators and heavy equipment, so we don't have to wait on a rental yard before starting a job.
We file the Call Before You Dig (811) request ourselves before every job, so buried lines are marked before the bucket goes in.

What We Take On
Foundations and additions, lot prep and grading, drainage and French drains, and land clearing, for homes across Hartford and Middlesex County.
We don't take on septic systems, driveways, slab prep or large commercial work, so for those you'll want to call a contractor who specializes in them.
